A swarm looks like a big ball of bees ranging from grapefruit to basketball size or lager, hanging from or gathering on a structure or object. A swarm is a temporary collection of bees, containing at least one queen that split apart from the mother colony to establish a new one. This is a natural method of propagation for honey bee colonies much like giving birth.
WE LOVE SWARMS! And we love to catch them, so if you see one give us a call and we will come relocate them to a happy home in one of our apiaries!
